Reading thru the Book of Numbers

It's so amazing to know that God is a God of details and specifics. One may wonder that, hey, does He also checks on details of every sin committed? Well, He is definitely aware of that as no one can escape from the judgement seat of Christ and we are accountable to every single thing we do and yet, He is a loving God that thru His saving grace, every sin can be forgiven.

Numbers..numbers...may sound kinda boring and might lead you to think, why would anyone really take note of numbers??? On the other hand, if He isn't a God of specifics and details, how can a missing piece of life's puzzle can complete a missing whole?

Praise Jesus that He knows even the number of our hairs in our head...that only reflects how He cares for us sincerely. It is comforting to know that our God knows us real well..every detail...every specific of our journey..of our emotions...of our feelings...

With that, we can always come to him..and like how He gave specific instructions on how to dress up His tabernacle and that of the priests' robes and vessels, He is also specific in meeting our every need. Just as how he knows the number of His people..of those who follow and those who disobey..He knows the "number" of our faithfulness to Him and He will surely reward every sacrifice, every following, every heart that seeks His agenda upon one's life...

Praise God for Numbers!

Finances for God

While learning about Biblical Stewardship, I came across Chinkee Tan's site on moneysense and it was very informative and realistic! One of his articles include "Getting Out of Debt" with the acronym DEBT, he spelled out- D is for Decide to be out of debt today. E stands for Empty your savings account and liquidate assets. B stands for Be faithful in paying your debts and T stands for Totally reverse the process; instead of overspending do UNDERSPENDING. True indeed!

I suddenly recalled how God moved in my life and I must add that aside from having the sincerest desire to get out of debt and having the heart to pay off obligations and putting it into action, one can truly draw strength from Committing ONE'S FINANCES TO GOD.

Since the Lord is the owner of all and we are His stewards, herein 3 timeless principles that really work for those who want to grow their finances and pay off their debts:

1) Commit your finances to the Lord Jesus Christ. God makes it happen and not you! Only when we come to realize that hey, I need to commit everything to the Lord including my finances..it's His agenda, not mine, then and only then we can see things will happen miraculously!

2) Pay your obligations.
If it entails a big sacrifice to pay off debts by cutting of expenses, changing lifestyles, then, do so. God will make a way to turn things around as with Him, all things are possible!

3) Honor the Lord with your wealth (Proverbs 3:9-10)
Give your tithes and offering. Sow a seed to God's work. Sow to others. Invest for God's Ministries. (2 Cor. 16:1-2) When you sow and you give out, more blessing will come into your house for we got eternal riches in the Lord!

I was in debt with money I felt it's already too impossible for me to pay off. Interests are compounding and not even my former salary can help me get out of it. When I understood that the Lord can turn things around, I just need to re-commit my life to Him, focus on the Lord Jesus and do His agenda upon my life, fully trust in Him, dwell in PRAYER and MEDITATE on His Word.........then, miracles happened one by one! My debts are totally paid off! Thank you Lord! You are amazing!
